Disney Fantasy Disney Dream 04E Stateroom Review with Photos

Disney Fantasy Disney Dream 04E Stateroom Review with Photos

On our cruise aboard the Disney Fantasy on a pre-maiden voyage we stayed in two 04E Deluxe Family Oceanview Staterooms with Extended Verandah. This is a unique stateroom category with larger verandahs than the standard size found on most of the ship. As sister ships, our experience on the Disney Fantasy will also apply to the same stateroom types on the Disney Dream.

All 04E Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms with Extended Verandah are located on Deck 5, forward or aft, port or starboard on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy.  We stayed in two forward port staterooms. Deck 5 is the same deck as Vibe, the teen club. The forward staterooms are particularly convenient to Vibe. The Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab for young kids, and it’s a small world Nursery for ages 6 months to 3 years are also on Deck 5. Forward staterooms are conveniently one deck above the Walt Disney Theatre balcony seating and the Buena Vista Theatre entrance. Aft staterooms are one deck above the District or Europa, the adult lounges and nightclubs.

As is standard with other staterooms of similar category, these rooms have one queen bed and a convertible sofa. Staterooms sleeping 4 people have an upper-berth pull down bed. 04E staterooms are 299 square feet including the balcony, with roughly the same interior space as the 07-05 category verandah staterooms.

The bed frame of the queen bed is tall enough to stow your empty suitcase.

04E staterooms have split baths. A toilet and sink are behind one door.

The larger, extended verandah is perfect for a family to lounge and enjoy the view and fresh air. Instead of the standard 2 chairs, each verandah should be equipped with 4 chairs and a side table. Like other verandahs on the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream, connecting staterooms can request to fold back the partition between verandahs to make an even more open space to share.

These verandahs jut out compared to staterooms on decks above, so people in higher up balconies can look down on your verandah.

Stateroom 5034 is located at a break in the verandah, so part of the verandah railing is curved and open. See first picture in post for example. 5034 connects to stateroom 5036, which has the typical dividers on both sides of the verandah.

Some guests have reported noise from the public areas on the decks below 04E staterooms. We did not personally experience any of this. We could feel the ship shimmy as thrusters moved the ship into port.

04E Deluxe Family Oceanview Staterooms with Extended Verandahs are great options for adults or families that enjoy spending time on their private verandah. The convenient location to the Vibe also makes it a great option for families with teens ages 14-17.
