Awards Earned by Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World has recently been the recipient of a few awards from the travel industry, and independent organizations.
Four Walt Disney World Resort hotels have been recognized by Fodor’s Travel with 2010 Choice Gold Awards:
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa was recognized as a Best Destinations Wedding Hotel in the United States
- Disney’s All-Star Movies, Music and Sports Resorts were recognized as Best Hotels for Kids and Families in the United States.

Additionally, Walt Disney World Resort has been recognized by the Good Sam Club, the world’s largest membership organization of recreational vehicle (RV) owners, with their 2010 Welcome Mat Award as the most “RV-friendly” Tourist Attraction.
The Good Sam Club is an organization of more than 1 million families who own RVs. Members were eligible to vote for the most RV-friendly businesses and organizations in more than 20 categories that go out of their way to recognize the needs of RVers.
The Good Sam Club began in 1966 when a group of RV owners put Good Samaratin bumper stickers on their rigs so fellow members would know that they could get help on the road.
